On May 15 RTA organizer Betty Traynor heard the words so precious to grantseekers, "Your grant was approved for the amount requested by our board last night." The RTA had applied to the S.F. Foundation last fall and was anxiously awaiting the decision. This is the third and largest grant the RTA has received since its inception in September of 1999. This grant will be used to support the RTA organizer on a part-time basis and other expenses related to its application for landmark status and furthering its goal of eventual control of the building. The grant year is June 2002 to June 2003.
